Your Dreams Are Closer Than You Think

A Reminder for Every Soul on the Edge of Giving Up

Brown leather box on textured gray surface, with "DREAM" in white text. Simple and contemplative mood.

Have you ever felt like you’re running on a treadmill? Moving, hustling, pushing forward but still not arriving? Like your dreams are distant stars: beautiful, bright, but forever out of reach?

What if I told you they’re closer than you think?

Do you ever sit and wonder when you will finally start living the life you've always been dreaming of? Is it vague? Is it a distant thought that does not seem like it will happen anytime soon? Ever wonder how it was for those who actually started living their dreams? The first hours, days, weeks and months of the actualization of dreams. The surreal feeling of going where you actually imagined a thousand times in your head.

Well, for some people, they would rather sit and day dream and wait for things to fall on their lap. Nevertheless, for some of us, we will fight hard to turn our dreams into reality.

There is a place for wishful thinking and there is a place for hard work. There is also a place for patience. Wishful thinking is good sometimes. It will help you maintain a positive outlook in life. However, it will be a mental illness to remain in that state. Dreams are free. Everyone is allowed to dream, but is everyone allowed to actualize those dreams? NO.

Those who are not allowed to actualize their dreams are those who give up only to sit and day dream. So get up from bed and start doing something. Now that brings me to HARDWORK.

Your Dreams Are Closer Than You Think

When you're done day dreaming, pick up yourself and start looking for what to do if you don't already have one. Your dreams are closer than you think only if you are steering yourself in the right direction. Even nature and the laws of this life respect those who are dogged.

Tell yourself you can, and you will. It is only those who give up that are the real losers. Whatever you know how to, do it with the whole of your heart. Maximize opportunities. Create and maintain valuable friendships. Prioritize consistency. You never can tell where and how that opportunity will meet you.

If you will really look, opportunities are everywhere. Opportunities are flying around. That talent or skill that you are looking at as small, might actually be what someone else will pay a lot to get.

The Illusion of Distance

Here’s the trick life plays on us: it shows us the finish line as a faraway fantasy, when in reality, we’re often just one bold step, one connection, one yes away. The job, the relationship, the business, the peace, the breakthrough—it’s not years away. It’s a moment. A decision. A shift in mindset.

But the catch? Most people stop right before the magic happens.

Progress Doesn’t Always Look Like Progress

Growth can be quiet. Success doesn’t always announce itself with fireworks. Sometimes, it looks like discipline when no one’s watching. It looks like sending another pitch, rewriting that idea, or getting up again after life knocks you flat.

If you’re exhausted, that doesn’t mean you’re off course—it means you’re working for something that matters.

Tiny Steps. Big Dreams.

Think about this: skyscrapers are built one brick at a time. Your dream doesn’t demand perfection or instant results. It asks for consistency. Faith. Tenacity. So write that page. Make that call. Post that idea. Try again. Momentum builds in the quiet. Suddenly, everything aligns and what once felt impossible becomes your new normal.

You’ve Come Too Far to Stop Now

Go back and look at where you started. The fears you’ve already faced. The risks you’ve already taken. You’re not the same person you were a year ago. And that version of you would cry tears of joy seeing how close you are now.

Here’s the Truth:

  • You’re allowed to dream big.

  • You’re allowed to want more.

  • And you’re more capable than you give yourself credit for.

So don’t quit just yet. Don’t silence your hopes. Don’t downplay your vision.

Because your dreams? They’re waiting. And they’re a whole lot closer than you think.

Text "fly high" on two white tiles against a speckled white background, evoking a sense of aspiration and freedom.
