We’re gradually approaching the end of the year 2024, and there’s this curious question that I’d like us to ponder on.
So I asked a couple of friends and family this one question that was supposed to be a low-key wish for humanity, and some of the responses weren’t so low-key.
Surprisingly, I got these very intriguing responses to the question:
“If you were to leave one wish for humanity as your legacy—nothing serious, just goofy—what would it be?”
“My wish is for niggas to stop being weird. To stop being dickheads. —Randy
“Wanna manage a big time artist —Butter Candy
“Peace” —Riley
“My wish would be for others to see my light and shine the brightest.—Rover
He wishes to be remembered as the guy who was outspoken, someone who cared for others, a perfectionist and a goal getter.
Then the plot twist responses that left me speechless :
“One wish is to bring my mother back to enjoy the fruits of her labour sincerely —Ziwariric
“ Charity (to the sick, poor, mentally demented, and frustrated): I know I can't help everyone on this earthly surface, but the few I come across, I will do my possible best to be a beacon of hope.
People are frustrated, sick, leaving in abject poverty, hoping for just one person to talk to or render just one little help that will turn their stories around.
.“I envision a future where everyone, regardless of their geographical location and socio-economic background, would have a good standard of living, have access to basic amenities, and serve God wholeheartedly.
By leaving this legacy, I hope to contribute to a more peaceful, balanced humanity. —Zicky
Wondering what mine could be? Here it is:
My wish for humanity would be that we stop spreading generational flaws and experiences, and each time we wake up (each breaking day), we just simply embrace the present while we wait for the unknown. That we open our hearts to love one another, not building walls called religion or culture. It’s a beautiful world, and our bleeding hearts, greed, jealousy, and envy are causing us harm much more than we know it. —-
“I still believe in man in spite of man. I believe in language even though it has been wounded, deformed, and perverted by the enemies of mankind. And I continue to cling to words because it is up to us to transform them into instruments of comprehension rather than contempt. It is up to us to choose whether we wish to use them to curse or to heal, to wound or to console.” ― Elie Wiesel
“If you were to leave one wish for humanity as your legacy..”
