With all social media platforms serving as constant reminders of National Girlfriend’s Day, there's no excuse to miss it this year. Learn how to make her heart skip a beat in a memorable way.
Is National Girlfriend’s Day Just For Couples?
The real meaning of this holiday is unknown to many of us. I hear comments all the time like, "I’m disgusted just because I don't have a significant other." "Let’s get ready to go offline to avoid intimidation from different couples online," and "It's worthless trying to show off your girlfriend on social platforms." (You know; it’s more like a resentment for being a single pringle but that’s not the case).
National Girlfriend's Day, which is specifically celebrated on August 1st, celebrates the platonic and romantic relationships that provide girls and women worldwide with companionship, happiness, and a strong sense of bond.
The celebration serves as a special way to honor women, recognizing their resilience, love, support, and underappreciated worth in both romantic relationships and among themselves (girls and women).
This is an opportunity to thank your female friendships and your significant other for their unwavering love, support, and care.
Cheers to the girls who stood by you through good and bad times.
Ways to Make Her Heart Flutter
This is for our favorite couples on the block. There are ways to sweep her off her feet and make her want to love you even more.
1) Write A Heart Felt Note Or An E-Card
This might not pique your interest. In the past, we would express our feelings to our loved ones through cards.
There are moments when some people in our generation detest this. They find it petty. But in all honesty, this is the cutest way to get her to fall in love with you all over again. She will read your letter several times in different time zones, just to get a feel for how you felt while you were writing, the timing, and the reason behind your inspiration or motivation.
Then we have e-cards. If she’s miles away, send her a warm message that’ll melt her heart. Choose your words carefully to express your emotions to her, and remember the simple little details you felt didn’t matter. Tell her how much you love and adore her, how she makes you feel, and how unique she is.
Also, you can use this approach for your other female friendships, but in a more plain but sweet tone, just in case you’d like to send them a heartfelt appreciation message.
Do not worry; you will figure it out. How to begin and when to finish. (Write your heart out until you feel like you've sent your entire heart's message.)
Don’t forget to make it precise and sweet!
2) Create A ScrapBook or Collage Video
This is the time to collage all your memories together in one place. It can either be in a book or a video. Pick out special moments from your time together. You can spice the video up with her favorite song or your favorite song together as a couple. Just make sure you put your heart into it.
Do you think this is too simple and typical?
Now, trust me on this one when I tell you, these will last for years and years to come in her memory lane.
3) Treat Her To A “Yes” Moment
Before the day runs out, here’s the last on the list, but not the least. Grant her wishes on some ground rules and a budget-friendly limit. Whatever she wishes, you’d say yes to it.
The “yes” moment should be within a reasonable limit, and make sure to communicate that properly with her. She’s a princess after all, so treat her right.
Most importantly, make her feel loved and appreciated. Project her strengths and acknowledge her values. Make sure you’re not doing this to the detriment of your happiness. Love should be honest, genuine, and filled with sweet passion. Make sure both of you are happy together on this holiday.
