How Can Broken Roads Lead To Success

What’s left of us when life's scribbling wounds and scars are progressively taking their toll on us?

How can one still dream about having a good life when everything around us feels like there’s no hope for a better tomorrow or even a better today?

You have every right to doubt the theme of this article, but remember, there’s always a way out of the impossible. Here’s how...

Sometimes, when we continuously accept defeat, mistakes, poverty, stagnation, and fear, which is totally not in our control, we build walls that obstruct the greater future.

These are the broken roads; they’re opportunities that we couldn’t grab, goals we couldn’t accomplish, fights we couldn’t win, and chains we couldn’t break.

Broken roads are often rough and nettlesome. It takes extreme patience, courage, and stubborn determination to drive through. Most of the time, when you’re going through these bad times, you’re a step or a few miles closer to a breakthrough.

Each and every one of us has horror experiences that are best boxed in, but when we evaluate these experiences, they’ve taught us valuable lessons, and some of them have made us stronger. Strong enough to overcome the next toughest trial.

“Broken Roads” are often life enhancing plot twists

The road to success has never been said to be easy. Most times, we’re blinded by our emotions and unable to detect when we’re being tested. These emotions are our biggest enemies. They leave us constrained with “what if’s“ and “I wish I could” thoughts. Playing with our positive energy and soul power to overcome life’s battles.

Diamonds are created through the pressures of earth and then have to go through a million dirty roads to get to the cutter who turns it into a beautiful massage. And that's like human beings. They go through a lot to be who they are in front of you. ~Jeremy Sisto

When we look back at the broken roads in our lives, we can agree that they were temporary and are stepping stones shaping you for much better things.

I have been in scenarios where words can’t explain. Experiences that literally shut my eyes and mouth. I’ve lost faith and hope in my dreams and ambitions to the point that I question my existence.

Through those times, I had no choice but to sit in silence and cry alone. Experiences that’ll make you stop to assess how worthless or precious life is. The frustration, pain, and tears all strengthen us to experience growth that’ll lead to success.

These are times that’ll make you think outside the box. They’ll make you process problems, and most times, if you’re sensitive, you'll find solutions to these problems or other life problems. You’d ignite an innovative and productive spirit within you.

Most importantly, then, you’d create life principles from your own perspective to impact the lives of those around you.

Common Principles to Improve Your Life

  • Instead of letting your circumstances define or ruin you, learn from them. They’ll fast-forward your growth.

  • Instead of getting bogged down in plan A, create strategic plan B, C, D, E, and more.

  • Respond to these experiences with the thought, “This is just a test." . Even when you’re feeling like the second Job in the Bible,

  • Don’t settle, and fight; you’re almost there.

  • Surround yourself with positive minds and successful, aspiring, and inspiring individuals; they’ll drag you out of life’s torment. This does not include drinking buddies or friends who’ll drag you to parties (you know what I mean).

  • Practice gratitude every day.

"Things turn out best for people who make the best of the way things turn out." - John Wooden

Winston S. Churchill famously said, you will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.
