Bad Days Don't Last

Life is a mix of highs and lows. Some days go well, while others are more challenging, but it's important to keep moving forward despite life's obstacles. Difficulties may last for days, weeks, or even months, yet a single positive moment can turn things around. In a world filled with disappointments, frustrations, and stress, it's crucial to prioritize happiness. Often, no one will lift your spirits for you, so you must find ways to uplift yourself. If you're having a rough day, remind yourself of the times when things were going great.


REGRET

The truth is you can never turn back the hands of time. Whatever happens cannot be changed just like the popular proverb "Do not cry over spilled milk". Why worry yourself over a situation you have no control of? Why bother yourself with questions of What ifs? The trajectory of a person's life depends on the kind of thoughts the person allows. Thoughts become words, words turn to actions, actions become character, character turns into an habit and habits become a lifestyle! Your thoughts are very powerful so why dwell on bad events? Just let it go.

Regret is a prison


I understand that sometimes it can be quite an ordeal to forget a traumatic experience, but it is however easy to remember the good experiences, so why not replace the bad with the good. Regret is like a prison. Why imprison yourself when you can live freely. If you dwell on bad experiences, it is most likely that you will continue to experience them over and over again. It may sound like a JINX but it is true. You attract what you think, so each time those embarrassing and frustrating thoughts try to overcloud your judgement, replace them with positive thoughts, either by speaking or thinking.


ANGER

What can you achieve by getting angry? As a matter of fact, you are at your lowest and most vulnerable condition when you're angry. Are you mad at someone for a reason well understood? Are you angry that you lost some valuable item or even money? Are you angry that someone insulted you? Well, your anger is valid but anger cannot solve anything. Anger can make you say things that you don't mean and you will end up regretting saying them. Anger can put an indelible stain on your good name and character. Weighing the pros and cons, anger really has no positive input in your life.


Anger can result to bitterness and when you're bitter, you carry a very negative atmosphere that tends to drive people away from you because people like to be around cheerful and kind people.

Another dangerous factor about anger is that it can lead you to make very bad decisions. In a fit of rage, people have killed others. In a fit of rage people have injured others or even damaged expensive properties.

You are not your best when you are angry


When you're angry, it is very important to realize that that moment will pass swiftly. The angry moments may not last, but the impact of words spoken or actions taken in these moments may linger on for a long time, so take control of your emotions and control yourself.


HEAL AND THRIVE


Many people without realizing it are holding unto the past more than necessary and that has hindered them from making any significant progress in their lives. Let's take for instance a lady that suffered a heartbreak from a guy years ago. The trauma from that experience can make that lady so bitter towards men, that she may even end up hurting the ones with good intentions. There is no one who is above betrayal and betrayal doesn't come from the persons we expect it to come from most of the times and that is why it is tagged as BETRAYAL.


Family can betray you, friends, colleagues, spouses and even soulmates can betray you but that doesn't mean the end of the world. I always like to see it this way, that the one who forgives and let go is the strongest. This is because it takes a very strong will to forgive and let go. Forgiveness is an art of surrender.


Have you ever wondered why holding a grudge can be so exhausting. When you see the person, you will immediately try to act like you don't care about the person's presence, and you may even act like their presence does not affect you, whereas it affects you a great deal but you're just pretending. It is so tiring to hold a grudge and I'd rather squash every beef and live carefree. Carrying all that weight of grudge is a burden too heavy for you to bear. It is time to let go of all the hurt because life is also full of good moments.

Self love is important

THE PROCESS OF LETTING GO


If you have ever experienced a very traumatic event, you are most likely to always be reminded of it. People, events or even seasons can easily trigger the trauma. However, time is friendly with the heart. No matter how wounded the heart gets, it will always heal with time. Time they say heals every wound. It is important to be kind to yourself. Try to focus on the future rather than the past because you have no control over the past, but to an extent you have some control over the future.


The journey of healing may take a while, but trust the process. Listen to good music, spend time with people who cheer you up and genuinely wants your growth. You can take a vacation to give yourself a treat. Spend quality time around nature and absorb in the beauty of the world. Spending alone time will help also. Eat healthy foods, exercise regularly and read good books. Meditate on positive mantras and sleep for at least 8 hours.

Absorb in the beauty of the earth


For some people, their coping mechanism can be shopping while others may derive pleasure in sports. Whatever gives you much joy, do it and just be intentional with your healing. In no time, you will turn into a bubble of joy.


On the final note, we perform better when we are happy. Bad days or experiences do not last, but it is the thoughts that linger, so get rid of those frustrating thoughts. There is nothing to look forward to from the past, but there is so much to look forward to from the future and the future is bright. STAY POSITIVE. Bad days don't last.
